Position indicators are used directly to display a linear motion (or an angle) obtained by a shaft rotation (typically a ball screw or lead screw). Assembly is extremely simple through the hollow shaft; just insert the indicator on the shaft and secure it to the shaft with the supplied fixing screw. Through the hollow shaft, the rotation is directly transmitted to a digital meter by the means of a gear system (or electronic encoder) with a ratio suited to the screw pitch. A lock pin, which is set on the back of the instrument, keeps the indicator body from rotating when the shaft rotates; only the bore rotates. Always supplied with dust seal and lock pin.

Position Indicator OP2
3-digit with 12mm dia. bore (maximum)
3-digit mechanical position indicator (standard one red digit indicates decimal for tenths; on request two red digits for hundredths or three black digits for no decimal). 4-digit with 14mm or 1/2” dia. bore (maximum)
4-digit mechanical position indicator (standard one red digit indicates decimal for tenths; on request two red digits for hundredths or four black digits for no decimal). FOR REPLACEMENTS ONLY – consider OP7 or EP7 for new designs. Mechanical position indicator for process control and quick changeover. Also referred to as a rotation counter, position counter or digital counter.
Position Indicator OP6/OP6T
5-digit with 25mm or 1” dia. bore (maximum)
OP6: 5-digit mechanical position indicator (standard one red digit indicates decimal for tenths; on request two red digits for hundredths, three red digits for thousandths or five black digits for no decimal). OP6T: 4-digit mechanical position indicator with large vernier for fifth digit, allowing for higher RPM rating. So a 10-count per turn ratio can be read as a 100-count per turn, but rpm rating is of a 10-count. Standard one red digit indicates decimal for tenths; on request two red digits for thousandths, three red digits for thousandths or four black digits for no decimal. 5-digit electronic position indicator, fully programmable count ratio (and decimal) from the front keypad. Four year life (replaceable) battery powered.
