FIAMA rotary transducers are potentiometric transducers that provide an electronic linear output from a mechanical rotation motion. The transducer is primarily a precision rotary potentiometer that, through a multi-turn transmission system, receives the motion from a drive shaft and converts to a useable potentiometer output (or 0-10V or 4-20mA linear signal). This, in turn, offers a very simple absolute encoder position signal, without a proprietary or expensive position signal protocol.
